COYHAIQUE & PUERTO AYSÉN

The city of Coyhaique was founded in 1929, being the starting point of “Carretera Austral”. This beautiful city on the egde of River Simpson, has roof covered side walks and open cafes, besides and excellent regional commerce. At a close distance, there are many ports and national parks with numerous rivers, wild forests, lakes, and large mountains of solid granite. Coyhaique is the gate to the southern most part of the world, where the continent begins to narrow its land, exhibiting fascinating sceneries of unique and unrepeatable beauty.
